Hiking
A remarkable hiking experience
Active programme with Claudia
The hiking in our region is simply fantastic. As a passionate alpinist, it’s my pleasure to show you the loveliest corners of our region. Take any of the routes below and you'll encounter not just tourists, but also the locals — they're that good.
Because we are at mother nature's whims, the programmes are flexible... but rest assured, an “umbrella” hike to the Zammer Lochputz or Schloss Landeck, including a tour, has its own charm. Be sure to bring along good shoes, sunscreen, perhaps some rain gear, a water bottle and a something to nibble on, which the hotel will happily provide.

From monday to friday
Free hiking tour
Please register for the respective tours on the prior evening or by 9 am at latest on the respective day at the hotel reception. If you have any questions about various outdoor activities, don’t hesitate to contact me from MO - FR from 9 – 9:30 am in the hotel lobby.
The various tours start at 9:30 am – meeting point at the hotel reception – don't forget your TirolWest Card!!!
I look forward to building memories with you.
Eure Claudia

TirolWest Recreational Region
The Venet aerial tramway, which departs from directly on front of Hotel Jägerhof, whisks passengers from 780 to 2,208 metres in just eight minutes. The summit station sits on the Krahberg in the Venet massif — the most famous outlook point in the West Tyrolean mountains, with an unforgettable 365° panoramic view.
Comfortable hikes to huts and meadows, a tour along the Venet circular hiking trail, or a challenging tour along the E5 — one of Europe's best-known long-distance hiking trails, running from Brittany to Verona...
There’s something for every taste here! And the panoramic views are certainly uniquely gorgeous.

Unique excursions
From the Venet summit station, you can enter directly into the Kaunergrat Nature Park, known for encompassing the full range of alpine elevation classes, not to mention unique flora and fauna.
Another highlight is the Zammer Lochputz. On top of this, the TirolWest region sits directly on six famous long-distance hiking trails: Adlerweg, European Long-Distance Hiking Trail E5, Jakobsweg, Lechtaler Höhenweg, Via Claudia Augusta and Gelbe Via Alpina.

European Long-Distance Hiking Trail E5
The E5 European Long Distance Hiking Trail runs from the Atlantic coast of Brittany, France via the Alps down to Verona, Italy. It stretches over 3,200 kilometres in all.
The most famous stretch runs from Oberstdorf, Germany to Merano, Italy through the alpine world of Tyrol — almost entirely along high alpine trails. The individual stages within the Alps are planned so that they finish either at a hut or at one of the few settled communities such as Zams.

One of the most famous
European long-distance hiking trails!
From brittany, french to Zams
Stopping point: Jägerhof
After a long descent from the Memminger Hut through one of the loveliest high alpine valleys in Europe, the Zammer Loch, the TirolWest holiday region and the town of Zams beckon as a practical and popular stopping point. Hotel Jägerhof in Zams serves as the perfect way station, as you can depart for the next stage to the Braunschweiger Hut using the aerial tramway that departs from directly in front of the hotel.
Hotel Jägerhof also offers a free laundry service – perfect for thru-hikers who don’t have space for unlimited garments in their backpacks.
